Crest of the County of Indepandance Crest of Curran Wellsworth

The eastern county in the Duchy of Freedom, the county of independance covers many of the major autumn metropolitan areas of Massachussetts. Independance has remained without leadership for the past several years until Count Wellsworth was recently appointed to its guardianship. Thus far, a certain air of joviality, informality, and love of pageantry has characterized His Excellancy's presence and like most of the nobility in the Duchy, threatening his people is a task best reserved for the fool hearty.

The County Heraldry: A shield divided urdy, argent two quatrefoils azure, azure two quatrefoils argent.
The quatrefoil in heraldry is symbolic of the primrose, a flower of spring and summer. White symbolizes sincerity and peace ad blue represents loyalty and truth, while the divided field gives a sense of natural balance.

Curran's Personal Heraldry: A shield vert, a lion passant or, upon a chief or, a flute sable.
In heraldry green signifies hope, joy, and loyalty in love and gold is generosity. The Lion is also a Fiona symbol, and symbolizes courage, loyalty, and honor. A passant lion is not attacking but is capable of it. The flute represents bardic and musical inclinations.
